A new beginning

No one really prepares you for to feel when you begin a new chapter of your life. For years now, I’ve worked on my passion project and I honestly never felt like I’d finish it. Even now, looking at the book in my hand, it still doesn’t feel real. The time to celebrate is still on the horizon as I am hard at work on the ebook and audiobook but even though it will hardly feel real.

Now that I’ve done it and can officially add “author” to my resume, the question is what next? Well, for those who’ve been around me for awhile you know I don’t stay idle for long. Book 2 is already in the works and if I can commit to updating here on this platform, I will. Book 2 is vastly different from the first book but it encompasses an integral part of the story I felt had to be told.

When the first book was originally the full story, this was only a collection of notes I kept to the side. I kept looking at everything I had wrote and this nagging feeling persisted. It was just so much information that was essentially going untold. Knowledge meant only for my head, but that wasn’t enough. For such an important character in the series, he needed his own book. When book 1 split into 2 books, I knew there had to be a buffer, and this story was the one for the job.

Building My Utopia, the tentative title, is the story of Dr. Argyle Klick, is his own words. His memoir, book 2, will encompass the beginning of his life up until the creation of the Ren and his patented secret technology. You’ll get a full insider look into the man that reshaped New America into the closest thing we could get to Utopia.

I’m about half way done with the first draft but I’m well over the research hump. This book is still a work in progress and I’ll continue to try to update as I can, but know that for fans of the first book, this will answer many questions and bring up plenty more. My hope is to be pushing to publish by year’s end and now that I’ve written that down, I have even more motivation for it to become true.

So I hope you stick around, keep engaged, keep being curious, and hopefully enjoy All The Ways We Kill, because more is on the way.
