Our first book launch
Though our company is young, bright-eyed and bushy tailed, we are still dedicated to our authors. This coming saturday, June 6th, will be our first ever launch party and round table discussion.
Tradition and culture has shifted and changed throughout the years, but one of the defining pieces that has lasted is the celebration. Holidays, birthdays, events at the office, it doesn’t matter. Where there is joy to be had, celebration is found. Most often, in the corporate would, celebrations coincide with landmark or timely accomplishments. Quarter finishes, numbers hit, quotas met and exceeded. In the literary world, the accomplishment is simple. Book published.
Now, most big boy publishers only give a small amount of credence to celebrating an author after they’ve done the thing. There’s no hate coming from us, but we want to be different. Our team is not just customer or profit oriented, we are artist oriented. There are no shareholders to please or margins to meet, it’s just the sole mission of putting more art out into the world.
With that in mind, we’ve decided that no matter what the book is, how long it is, how fraught with difficulties or easy as pie it was, it deserves a celebration. Art has been created. Through many restless nights and long weekends, our authors persevere and inspire us with their passion. Beyond them is the team that makes it happen. From our readers to our editors, our advertisers to social media folk, everyone has a part to play in spreading the art.
So come, join us live or with the highlights posted later, as we celebrate our first of many book launches. In the future, we will have parties for the populace. In the meantime, help us show our authors some love and celebrate a major accomplishment in their lives, and ours too.
