Oh man, a rebrand

Yep. You heard it here first. Or maybe you didn’t, hard to say. But we’ve got some big changes coming in the following weeks. For one, the V3 flight bag is complete, we’re now just waiting on exact quotes to see how much money we’re able to save you fine folks for the best product possible. But what’s this whole rebrand about anyway?

It’s no secret Otzi is made by aviators and aviator adjacent. We’ve been bonded through the work and our shared passion, but it’s really not for everyone. Rather than continue being known by our passions, we want to expand so that everyone can be included in what we love. That means we’re bumping off the Aviation tag, and replacing it.

But with what?

Glad you asked me that, friendly disembodied voice booming around me. FORGE. That’s right. Otzi the Iceman was found with tools, and we just know that boy was FORGING. What did he make? I don’t know dude, go read a book. But we know he was making stuff. Well, so are we! Away goes Aviation, flying off into the loving distance. In comes an anvil dropped from a string way above, careening down super fast and SLAMMING on to my head. Then a huge bruise balloons up all red and irritated while a road runner somewhere makes whatever noises they naturally make.

Things like this take time. You’ll still see the Aviation tag across the website until our website guy (that’s also me) can figure out how to change it. Technology is hard, cut me a break. I make shirts for a living, not write code. We’re also switching manufacturers for the time to test out new waters. While we love our sublimation, and more will be available once the dust has settled, for now we are trying out print on with some of our favorite brands. (Looking at you Comfort Colors!)
